Divisibility rules for 2
If last digit of a number is even or 0, then the number is divisible by 2.
*Even number or even digit means the digit or number which is divisible by 2.
Divisibility rules for 3
If sum of the digits of a number is divisible by 3 then the number is divisible by 3.
*Sum of the digits of a number means, if the number is 123 then sum of the digits of this number 1+2+3=6. 6 is divisible by 3. So 123 is divisible by 3.
Divisibility rules for 4
If the last two digits of a number is divisible by 4 then the number is divisible by 4.
Example: 6428 — last two digits of this number is 28 and this is divisible by 4. So this number is divisible by 4.
Divisibility rules for 5
If the ending digit of a number is 0 or 5, then the number is divisible by 5.
Example: 4350 — ending digit is 0, So this number is divisible by 5.
Divisibility rules for 6
If the number is divisible by both 3 and 2 then the number is also divisible by 6. So see the divisibility rule of 3 and 2.
Divisibility rules for 8
If last three digits of a number is divisible by 8 then the number is divisible by 8.
Divisibility rules for 9
If the sum of all digits of a number is divisible by 9 then the number is divisible by 9.
Divisibility rules for 10
If the ending digit of a number is 0 then the number is divisible by 10.
Divisibility rules for 11
If sum of odd places digits and sum of even places digits of a number is equal, then the number is divisible by 11. Sum of Even digits = Sum of Odd digits.
